“…nothing gets wasted and it is possible for recovery, redemption, and resurrection to hold the last words…”
Angela Griner, EdD, is a writer, artist, and educator living in Orlando, Florida with her husband, two boys 17 &11, three dogs, and one cat. This website was created for the purpose of holding a place to share her writings and artwork which reflect the many ways in which grief, tragedy, and heartbreak mark our lives, while at the same time creating pathways for healing, transformation, and joy.
She currently teaches courses at Rollins College, centered on culturally responsive and inclusive literacy practices in teacher education programs, integrating practices to support mental health & wellness, spirituality, trauma-informed teaching, and creative expression as an integrative approach towards inclusive, healing centered pedagogies.
As she moves into this second half of life, after experiencing several profound losses, she has found solace in contemplative practices and creative expressions through music, writing, and art, that help her surrender and consent to life’s unexpected gifts-both the light and the dark. Some of these darker gifts have included the loss of her brother to overdose, both parents, just two days apart to Covid, and other personal and family struggles with depression, suicide, trauma, addiction, betrayal, and loss. So far, she has found that nothing gets wasted and it is possible for recovery, redemption, and resurrection to hold the last words.
